  1. Define the notion of preconceived biases and beliefs and how they may/do impact a person’s perception and judgment.
  2. Explain a preconceived notion.
  3. Explain what preconceived beliefs you held about this group and how interacting with this individual altered your beliefs.
  4. Assess your initial interaction with this individual and the strengths and weaknesses of your interaction. What would you do differently in the future to make the other person feel welcomed or to decrease discomfort within yourself?
